Trowbridge Residence, nestled in nature, overlooks downtown Austin and the iconic 360 Bridge on Lake Austin. It’s complex site and sloping grade provided a unique challenge for structural steel surveying and install. The angled core juxtaposes the curved perimeter requiring various steel coping and bending processes. The expansive entry bridge structure gives a playful nod to its name and provides access to the site. Structural steel is just the beginning - the real meat lies within the interior. Cantilevered steel stairs, bent steel fascia panels, and operable steel tv enclosures begin the breath of work within the architectural steel scope.
